Tricia Rose, professor of Africana studies and director of the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America, delivered the 252nd Opening Convocation address to the campus community.

The 252nd Opening Convocation was held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 on the College Green. The event included a procession of new students through the Van Wickle Gates and a proclamation by President Christina Paxson of the official opening of the new year.

Tricia Rose, Chancellor's Professorship of Africana Studies, associate dean of the faculty for special initiatives and director of the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America, gave the keynote address “Unfinished.”
