On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, President Christina H. Paxson officially proclaimed the opening of Brown's 260th academic year and welcomed students to campus. Director of the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society Kim Cobb delivered the keynote address, “Your Climate Inheritance.”
