On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, President Christina H. Paxson officially proclaimed the opening of Brown's 261st academic year and welcomed students to campus. Dean of the Brown University School of Public Health Dr. Ashish K. Jha delivered the keynote address, “Curiosity, Courage and Conviction: Your Brown Journey to a Healthier World.”
